Assistant Accountant

Location: Toyota Croydon

Toyota are currently offering a new opportunity as an Assistant Accountant to join our business based out of our Croydon dealership.

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a very important role in assisting the Market Area Accountant in ensuring Jemca’s company policies are adhered to. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks therefore having great organisational skills, an excellent eye for detail, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure is all paramount to this role. 

This role would be ideal with someone who is keen interest in finance & the Automotive industry. To be applicable for this role you must have at least 1 years’ experience working within finance, as well as being used to doing daily banking, bank reconciliation and using multiple systems.

What we need

  • Assist Assistant Accountant Supervisor with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Participate in Ad hoc reporting/ projects
  • Review, maintain and report on Cash, Warranty and Finance debtors on a daily basis. Highlighting any issues that arise to the Assistant Accountant Supervisor and MA Accountant
  • Control and reconcile e wallet, ensuring any expenditure is authorised
  • Collating information and submission for PSA
  • Reconciling and banking daily cash takings from all departments in the branch.
  • Reconciling PDQ and cash to end of day report and sales per department – resolving any discrepancies that may arise.
  • Providing Treasury with daily bank sheets to allow reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Responsible for booking transactions from Toyota’s paperless finance.
  • Check documentation received from paperless finance, ensuring correct posting and narrative appears
  • Supporting branches Assistant Accountant Supervisor with any ad hoc financial/cash requirement and assisting in resolving any queries that may arise.
  • Providing Treasury with daily bank sheets to allow reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Raising intercompany invoices/credit notes
  • Post direct debit entries to correct accounts.
  • Prepare month reconciliations:
  • Vehicle Stock/ Parts stock check
  • Demo depreciation
  • Vehicle Reconciliations

Your Skills

  • Have experience working as an Assistant Accountant/Accounts Assistant
  • Havethe ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Greatcommunication skills
  • Producea high degree of customer service and have excellent organisational skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • You must be confident in your own ability
  • Experience working on Drive (not essential)
