Parts Supervisor

Location: Toyota Bromley

Toyota are currently offering a fantastic opportunity for a Parts Supervisor to join our business based out of our Bromley dealership.

As a Parts Supervisor, you will be responsible for keeping the workshop stocked with relevant parts, managing stock levels and sourcing parts from various suppliers whilst managing the cost and time to delivery. You will be required to Provide accurate estimates for parts, ensuring that the customer is fully aware of the likely costs and timescales involved and setting expectations accordingly. You will look after the Parts team ensuring that they deliver a seamless service to our customers at all times.

This role would suit a Parts Supervisor looking to increase their OTE and knowledge of Hybrid technology, or an experienced Parts Advisor looking to take their first steps into management. 

What We Need

  • Updating customers about back-ordered parts and late deliveries
  • Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money
  • Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available
  • Design local promotions, negotiating with local suppliers to achieve the best possible terms and monitors results accordingly
  • Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to look up parts and quote prices for parts using proper catalogue for vehicles
  • Parts returns to Toyota and Lexus
  • Agree goodwill gestures and customer discounts
  • Ensure all members of the Parts team understand the implications of the Toyota Experience for their role and monitors performance against agreed customer service targets (e.g. CCS)
  • Supervise the team by personally demonstrating and encouraging the skills and behaviours associated with the Toyota Experience and Toyota’s Brand Values
  • Ensure that the Parts team work closely with colleagues in Sales, Service and Administration to deliver excellent customer service
  • Monitor staff training needs, ensuring training and development plans are in place and up to date for all members of the team
  • Speak to customers over the phone, F2F and by email
  • Handle telephone transactions quickly and courteously on an inbound and outbound basis
  • Act as a full member of the dealership’s management team to take the business forward
  • Ensure opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate specialist Comply with Jemca process and standards
  • (e.g. parts & accessory sales volumes, aged stock, speed and margins)
  • Plan and manage parts and accessory stock levels to meet customer requirements and minimise cost
  • Ensure non-current stock is promoted to build sales or returned within the 20 day period to minimise levels of non-current stock
  • Manage stock visibility to ensure all necessary personnel have accurate information on availability and price
  • Negotiate with non-franchise parts suppliers

Your Skills

  • Have previous experience working as a Parts Supervisor/Advisor
  • Be able to deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working under pressure and with both retail and internal work
  • Be able to manage other employees and be confident in your own ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
